Cultural Events
Enrich your experience at the WSIU by getting involved in a variety of fun intercultural events and programs. This is a fantastic way to build your intercultural skills and engage with our vibrant international and university community!

Student Rights
A university is a scientific community whose tasks include scientific activities and generation of new information. Members of the scientific community include all parties in the university, from professors and lecturers to students. Students must be aware of their role as a responsible party within the scientific community, to act honestly and to promote a positive atmosphere. The starting point is equal, fair and respectful treatment of everyone, as well as appreciation of their work contribution.

Disability Support
You are encouraged to tell us if you have a disability, specific learning difference, or long term physical or mental health condition so that we can ensure that you have the right support in place. This includes, but is not limited to, specific learning differences (e.g. dyslexia), ADHD, mental health conditions such as depression or anxiety, autism spectrum condition, hearing impairment, visual impairment and long term health conditions, such as chronic fatigue, or epilepsy.

Health Services
WSIU Health Services, part of the Division of Student Affairs, provides:
(1) a broad range of professional health services for the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries;
(2) preventive health services such as physicals and annual wellness exams;
(3) physical therapy and nutrition services;
(4) public health initiatives, including the promotion of a healthy campus;
(5) immunizations for vaccine-preventable diseases; and
(6) other public health services such as responding to certain infectious diseases on campus.

Psychological Services
Looking after your health and well being is essential to being your best at the WSIU. Life at university can be exciting and interesting, as well as bring challenges such as adjusting to a new environment and the general stress of student life. Sometimes it can be difficult to reach out to family and friends, or deal with things by ourselves. Counseling can be helpful during these times.

Wellness Center
The Student Wellness Center empowers students to make informed decisions regarding their health and wellness by providing evidence-based education, inclusive resources, and non-judgmental support. We offer an extensive collection of resources and information about various health and wellness topics.
